Teams are built based on roughly equivalent total team body weight. Team will be announced when all the participants are registered. Who can come: invitational Cost: $20 per registrant or $30 per family Location: 432 Wolg Frove Rd, Almonte What is at Stakes: Medals for the teens, skittles for the adults and a HUGE Cup (the skittle cup) for the winning team, bragging rights for everyone because cool is underrated :-) How does it work: 1. Event 1: this is actually not counting for the Cup points but will be what I will call "disturbing ammunitions" - so the more points a team has in this event the more disturbing ammunitions they will be able to use during other events to "affect" the other teams performance (yep what those are will remain secret until comp day). To get points in the disturbing ammunition category we will do a spear throw challenge: 2 throws per team member, the most target hits for a team will be recorded. for each of the following events each team will select one member that will compete vs another team member in 2 separate simultaneous events ...what does this mean ... see below ... note that for all the events a team cannot always pick the same members so all members of a team will need to participate in at least 2 events and of course in the final full team event. For those who know the Netflix series Physical 100, or Physical Asia you will get the picture. 2, the real grip (sort of) events: 2.1 Battle rope vs hanging at the bar --- simultaneous with 2 different members from 2 different teams (and repeat with as many team we will have) - winner of each group of teams is the one who hang longer than the one who battle the rope of vice versa 2,2 Farmer walk with water jugs vs the bricklayer 2.3 Rope climbing vs cargo net climb 2.4 Olympus (horizontal climbing wall with holes and chains and holds) vs 8 foot wall 2.5 Nemesis weirdest implement relay race - they may not be big and heavy but can you do the distance and walk with them - that is the question :-) 2.6 Olympic ring swing Vs infinity wheel 2.7 and finally Team tug of war - depending on points accumulated the team will fight one round at a time and we will go quarter, semi and final. anticipated time frame : between lets say 11 pm to 4 pm BBQ on site.
